Frankenmuth
Driving along scenic M-83 about four miles east of I-75, you'll find a quaint little town named Frankenmuth. But underneath the friendly smiles and the Bavarian-style architecture you will discover what the Chamber of Commerce calls Michigan's #1 tourist attraction which pulls in over 3 million visitors annually from all over the United States and from over thirty countries around the world. Along with being a haven for fans of Bavarian-style food and heritage, Frankenmuth is home to the world famous Bronner's Christmas Wonderland, whose 1.5 acre showroom features trimmings and gifts for every season and budget.
In early December when the snow begins to fall and the cold winter wind starts to blow, the true magic of Frankenmuth is revealed. Zehnder's Snowfest brings together the residents of Frankenmuth, over 100,000 visitors, and several world-renowned ice sculptors take over the town for a few days of ice sculpting, sledding, and good times. Visitors come for weeks after the event to enjoy the beauty of the fragile artwork of ice and snow.
And for those of age, May in Frankenmuth brings together over 150 quality brews from breweries around the world as well as many of the town's own food specialties for over 2,000 visitors to sample.
