POSITION:                CUSTODIAN, High School, afternoon shift

                  Work Year:     52 Weeks Per Year – 40 Hours Per Week

                  Hourly Rate:   $12.75-16.45 Per Hour, 8 hours per day

 

QUALIFICATIONS:          

·      Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalency

·      Must pass an employer-approved physical examination, including drug testing.

·      Must be at least 18 years of age.

·      Has an electronic fingerprint clearance from a criminal history record check

·      Must be in good physical and mental health, able to push, pull, climb, and lift in accordance with job requirements at least a minimum of 50 lbs.

·      Must have ability to read, understand, and follow simple oral and written instructions.

·      Must show demonstrated professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, and community.

·      Must have the ability to satisfactorily complete job responsibilities.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

·         Desire to achieve and maintain a high set of standards to area(s) assigned in a facility.

·         Maintain assigned area(s) with proper cleaning procedures in a safe and hygienic manner.

·         Avoid needless waste of custodial supplies and equipment damage due to neglect.

·         Help assume responsibility for fire safety and the general security of the facility.

·         Perform minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical areas, as directed by supervisor.

·         Perform emergency repairs or cleaning services as necessary, including snow removal around entrances, etc.

·         Participate in various activities when directed by the principal and/or Director of Facilities Management.

·         Other additional responsibilities as the Director may, on occasion, deem appropriate and acceptable.

POSITIONS:                       At Risk Paraprofessional (2 positions)

                                                 Reading, Writing, Math

                                                 Vowles

 

                Work Year:           Scheduled Student Days

                Work Day:            6 hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch

                                                9:00 – 3:30

                Hourly Rate:        $11.71 - $13.55 per hour

               

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

                Has at least two (2) years of college education

                Has experience working in schools or in a setting dealing directly with children

                Can demonstrate ability to relate with children

                Has good interpersonal and communication skills

                Can follow verbal and written directions

Has undergone physical examination (including drug testing) by a licensed physician that       documents capability to perform required duties

                Has undergone a criminal background check with electronic fingerprint clearance

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

                Educational emphasis in English and Language Arts

 

DUTIES:

 

                Tutoring students designated at risk in English and Language Arts

                Part of teaching team working with English and Language Arts teacher
