The Mt. Pleasant Board of Education represents the community in setting policy for the school district.

Board members will pursue the following goals:

• Establishing priorities that will assure the long-term sustainability of the district's educational program.
• Establishing the means for regularly obtaining representative feedback from staff, students, parents and other members of the community.
• Enhancing Board of Education competence through a program of continuous learning .
• Serving the community by continuing to model effective leadership and professionalism.
