_____________________Race Director:  Coordinate all areas of the race. Work with co-­sponsors when necessary.

 

_____________________Facility Coordinator: Reserve facility if necessary, set up of registration area, restrooms, showers, tables, chairs, results, and award presentation areas.

 

_____________________Registration Coordinator: Organize entries, assemble packets, late registration procedure, signs, cash box, running numbers, entry forms, pencils, boxes, staples, baggies, etc.

 

_____________________Course Coordinator: Planning and measuring of course, marking on road, mile signs, split timers, course monitors and their positions, directional arrows, road barriers, cones, etc. Work with city, county or campus police concerning course and traffic control, lead vehicle, sag wagon, security, starting line organization and instruction. Supply maps for packets and post maps near the registration area. Contact railroad companies if necessary.

 

_____________________Aid Station Coordinator: Details of aid station locations; set-up, operation and transportation of stations, equipment and volunteers, tables, chairs, water coolers, paper cups, trash bags~ includes aid station(s) on the course as well as fluids at start and finish line. Contact homeowners on race route if necessary for access to water. Secure medical help (doctor, athletic trainer, ambulance service) for race.

 

_____________________Volunteer Coordinator: Obtain volunteers to work all areas of race. Schedule a volunteer meeting if necessary. Contact all race coordinators for total number of volunteers needed. Furnish a list of the volunteers and their specific assignments.

 

_____________________Timing/Finish Line/Results Coordinator: Design of finish line and chute, timing and finish line procedure. Work with course coordinator on split timers. Supervise result tables and posting of results. Supply announcer with results. Send in results to newspaper and participants if necessary.

 

_____________________Equipment Coordinator: Obtain stopwatches, starting pistol whistle, check sheets, clipboards, bull horn, poster board for results, pens, pencils, markers, tables, chairs, finish line numbers, flags, cones, mile signs, etc.

 

_____________________Award Ceremony Coordinator: Announce results, present awards, door prize drawing, etc. Acknowledge race sponsors, donations, volunteers, etc. Help with pre-race instructions if necessary.

 

_____________________Publicity and Awards Coordinator: Distribute public service announcements. Supervise design, print and distribution of entry forms.  Order medals, trophies, t-shirts, gym bags, etc. for each race. Contact local media for race day coverage.
