MI Depart of Education AYP Reports released 30 Jan 2004
To the right are the files that the MI Dept. of Education
sent to the media on 30 January 2004. They are a complete
listing of all the schools that received an AYP status and/or
an EdYES! accreditation grade.
There are also two files that are labeled "corrections."
What this means is that after the report cards were issued,
a small computer programming glitch was discovered. The EdYES!
grade is based on a typical teacher gradebook system: 90 to
100 equals an "A." 80 to 89 a "B" etc.
The program did not round up the numbers. Once the program
was changed to round up, the grades in these "corrected"
schools increased. These grade increases are ALREADY INCLUDED
in the media reports (the first two), but the corrected reports
are included so you can see which schools were affected.
