Computers 1

Computers 1 is a required course for all students, usually taken during seventh grade.  Information covered in this class includes:

bullet Computer history
bullet Parts of a computer
bullet Operating Systems, focusing on Windows
bullet Copyright and plagiarism
bullet Using the Internet and World Wide Web
bullet Using databases on the Internet and World Wide Web
bullet The effective use of print or online library resources to locate information
bullet Citing both print and online sources using MLA Format
bullet Beginning word processing
bullet Typing business letters


 
Important Information

Students are encouraged to have a separate folder for each of my classes.  A folder or section in a binder is acceptable.

Students who are more than one lesson behind in keyboarding should arrange to come in outside of class time to get caught up.
