Classroom procedures

  • All students will follow the rules in the code of conduct and the student handbook.
  • All student will be prepared for class before it starts.  Students are not allowed to go back to their locker without using one of the restroom/hall passes.  when students use up their passes they will not be allow to leave class.
  • Students must be to class on time if students are late it may result in a lunch detention.
  • Homework must be completed when students walk in the door.  If homework is not completed it will result in a reduction of 50%.
  • It is the students responsibility to make up all the work that they missed while they were out.  If work is not made up in a timely fashion the work becomes late and is reduced by 50%.
  • Students must stay organized!  Students are required to keep a portfolio that is devoted to science work only.
  • All students must respect the fact that this is a learning community.  Each student should be given the same opportunity to learn.  All student should work together to make our learning environment a productive one.

 

 

Lab Procedures

  • If you are not sure always ask before performing your experiment. Uncertainty can cause harm to yourself and others.
  • All students will keep their lab stations neat and clean.  the only materials that you will need is your lab notebook and a writing utensil.
  • You must always stay at you lab station unless you have permission to  be out of you seat or you are getting materials for your group.
  • If you have a question raise your hand an wait patiently for me to come to your group.
  • you must always wear safety gear required for the lab.  If you refuse to wear safety gear you will be removed from the lab activity and may result in a zero for the lab.
  • Students must inform the teacher if any accidents occur such as; broken glass, chemical spills, cuts, or burns.  Do not attempt to clean these messes up by yourself this could result in more injuries.
  • Students must perform their specific responsibility they are assigned for the lab.
