I am an alumnus of Beaverton High School. After high school graduation, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Spring Arbor College. After college graduation, I returned to the Beaverton area and worked as a Systems Administrator for Homestead Products for 10 years. Training others to use computer systems was the most enjoyable part of my position, so I chose to continue my education and obtain a teaching certificate.

In 1993, I earned a teaching certificate in Business Education with an emphasis in Accounting from Central Michigan University (CMU); I earned my Masters in Business Education from CMU in May 1999. I taught at Mid Michigan Community College before coming to Beaverton High School. Currently, I teach Accounting I, Accounting II, Business Information & Technology II, Web Development, and am the Co-op Coordinator and a Business Professionals of America advisor.
