The AND operator is used to join together two words that must appear.  This means that BOTH words must be present.  If more than two words are used, then all words must be present.

EXAMPLE:

Michigan and football

This search will only bring up hits that have both the word Michigan and the word football.  It should bring up all references to football in the state of Michigan.
