About Breckenridge Middle SchoolBreckenridge Middle School is a North Central Accredited school. Our goal is to meet the educational needs, as well as personal needs of Breckenridge students in the 6th through 8th grade. All students are required to take language arts, science, math and social studies. The Middle School also offers enrichment classes to broaden students' knowledge which allows them to learn through different experiences. These enrichment classes include art, band, choir, computers, physical education, career pathways, agri-science, health and creative writing. To encourage academic achievement and character development, the middle school honors students with a "Pro-Award". These students have exhibited one of the "Pillars of Character": Respect, Trustworthiness, Caring, Responsibility, Fairness and Citizenship. Other activities available to middle school students include Fun Fridays and Destination Imagination. Fun Fridays offer students the opportunity to meet with each other in a social setting. Destination Imagination promotes creative thinking and problem solving for interested students. Seventh and eight grade students may participate in MHSAA sanctioned sports of basketball, cross country, track, volleyball, and wrestling; however, baseball, cheerleading, rocket football, pom pon, soccer and softball are also offered to all Middle School students through community education. The Middle School staff continues toward a schedule of classes that are beneficial to all middle school students. Back to Breckenridge Middle School
