Grading Scale

A	=93-100
A-	=90-92
B+	=87-89
B	=83-86
B-	=80-82
C+	=77-79
C	=73-76
C-	=70-72
D+	=67-69
D	=63-66
D-	=60-62
E	=0-59

Each marking period grade is based on the following:

Assignments, tests, quizzes, etc.	85%
Employability Skills	15%

Homework is due at the beginning of the hour on the due date. With the exception of one assignment per marking period, no late work is accepted. Life is full of deadlines. Students will be expected to meet deadlines as college students, employees, and citizens. High school is the time for students to learn the importance of submitting work on time.

Only ONE assignment per marking period can be turned in late. We've all had a bad day or circumstances that kept us from meeting a deadline. For that reason, students will be given one Late Pass per marking period to be used on one assignment. The Late Pass must be stapled to the top of the late assignment. The Late Pass can only be used one day past the deadline AND if the assignment has not been graded and returned to students.

Absences and makeup work. The student will be responsible for obtaining the assignments for the work missed when absent. The student will be given one day for every day absent to makeup work. After that, work will not be accepted. Makeup work must be completed on the student's own time, before school, during lunch, or after school. Class time will not be given for makeup work.
